We are the only firm that both writes the PCB design software and also manufactures the boards that you design using it. Hundreds of firms of all sizes, from the largest such as Motorola, Apple, and Tektronix, to many small and medium sized companies world wide, use our end-to-end solution to complete their new product designs on time and on budget.
Our quality design software is the key to our manufacturing excellence. All manufacturing data is integrated into the CAD/CAM file, making separate fabrication drawings, Gerber files, aperture lists, drilling schedules, or any other supplemental documentation unnecessary. Frequently orders are placed, and the boards manufactured and shipped, all without a single voice communication taking place. The integrated design files make it impossible for parts of your job to become lost or separated, and we have developed special "in-house" software tools to track and expedite every order we receive.

We have produced over half a million boards using this system, representing over 10,000 different customer designs, and less than one percent of our orders have been late. It is extremely rare that there is ever a problem with one of our finished boards, but if a problem is ever found we are quick to see that it is corrected.
PCB Manufacturing
Douglas Electronics manufactures printed circuit boards of every shape and size, in quantities from a few prototypes to large production runs, and our quality is second to none. The fact that we only accept manufacturing orders for boards which have been designed using the CAD/CAM software we authored, makes for a very streamlined and efficient manufacturing path, and therefore a very competitive price. We don't try to be all things to all people, but we do provide first rate manufacturing services for all users of our fine software tools.
The standard PCB order is solder plated over copper on 0.062" FR-4 material, but SMOBC and/or exotic board materials and thicknesses are also available. For the best price on board orders, a minimum hole size of 0.020" and a minimum line width/spacing of 0.008" is required, however a minimum hole size of 0.012" and a minimum line width/spacing of 0.006" is available at additional cost. The standard lead time for a double-sided board is two weeks, three weeks for multi-layer, but quick-turn service is also available. Two accelerated delivery schedules are available for each class of boards, with the fastest turn being three days for double-sided boards, and five days for multi-layer orders. Our on-time delivery record is historically long and statistically impressive.
We also offer same-day service on panelized photoplotting orders received by 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
